The Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced that Turkish rescue teams deployed to Venezuela following the devastating earthquake are continuing their operations in the region.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry released an official statement confirming the ongoing efforts.

The statement noted that despite challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions, the personnel sent from Turkey are conducting search and rescue operations without interruption and providing assistance to those affected by the disaster.

According to the information, the operations involve not only personnel from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) but also specialized search and rescue teams from the Humanitarian Aid Brigade of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), along with specially trained canine units.

The teams are working around the clock to locate individuals trapped under the rubble and provide them with necessary aid. The professional personnel of the TSK continue their mission to ensure the effective delivery of aid to the affected population and the successful execution of rescue efforts despite the difficult circumstances.

Turkey has a long-standing history of providing international humanitarian aid and disaster relief. The country frequently deploys its specialized military and civilian rescue units globally to assist nations struck by natural disasters, leveraging its extensive experience in earthquake response and logistics management.
