The Supreme Military Council of Turkey is set to convene today under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with significant decisions regarding the Turkish Armed Forces expected to be finalized. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from TRT Haber, the council will review dossiers concerning generals, admirals, and colonels. The agenda includes decisions on service extensions, reassignments, and promotions for key military personnel. These decisions will be officially announced following the President's formal approval.

The Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) is a pivotal body in Turkey's defense structure, responsible for determining the strategic direction of the military and overseeing the career progression of its senior leadership. This session is particularly notable as it marks the first participation of Justice Minister Akın Gürlek, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, and Land Forces Commander Metin Tokel, reflecting recent shifts in the administrative and military hierarchy.
