US President Donald Trump has issued a statement regarding the potential regional consequences should Iran acquire nuclear weapons.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that Iran possessing nuclear weapons would pose an existential threat to Israel.
Trump strongly criticized the Iranian leadership and its policies, emphasizing that the acquisition of a nuclear arsenal by Tehran could lead to the destruction of the Israeli state. He characterized the Iranian regime as "extremely cruel and evil-minded," noting that their pursuit of nuclear weaponry is unacceptable.
During the interview, Trump also addressed Iran's regional foreign policy. He remarked that Iran's aggressive actions toward countries that have maintained a neutral stance, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait, were unexpected. The US President believes these actions have caused Iran to lose significant support on the international stage.
The issue of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East remains a central topic in global security discussions. Iran's nuclear program has long been a subject of intense international scrutiny and diplomatic tension, with various global powers advocating for strict oversight to prevent regional destabilization. Previously, reports emerged regarding drone attacks allegedly carried out by Iranian-backed forces against US personnel at the Al-Minhad military base in the United Arab Emirates, further heightening regional security concerns.
