The criminal case against former officials of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, accused of bribery, has been forwarded to the court for trial.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The investigation, conducted by the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, has concluded regarding the illegal activities of Nurlan Abbasov, the former head of the Agdash district department; Shahlar Usubaliyev, the former head of the active military service conscription division of the same department; and Taleh Ismayilov, an officer of the division.
According to the investigation, there are reasonable suspicions that between 2025 and 2026, while holding their respective positions, the accused individuals repeatedly solicited and accepted bribes from various persons. These illicit activities included granting illegal deferments for education abroad, failing to impose travel restrictions, and facilitating the evasion of medical examinations for individuals previously exempted from active military service.
Based on the gathered evidence, Nurlan Abbasov, Shahlar Usubaliyev, and Taleh Ismayilov have been charged under Articles 311.3.1, 311.3.2, and 311.3.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (repeated bribery by a group of persons by prior conspiracy in a large amount). By court decision, based on the motion of the investigative body and the prosecutor, they have been remanded in custody and suspended from their duties.
The criminal case has been sent to the Tartar Military Court for further proceedings.
