Short-term traffic restrictions will be introduced on several streets in Baku from 9 p.m. on Sept. 29 due to road repairs and changes to traffic patterns.
The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) told the “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
According to the information, traffic will be restricted in Bineqedi district on the section of Shovkat Mammadova Street between its intersections with Chingiz Aitmatov Street and Suleyman Sani Akhundov Street, as well as on the section of Zaur Nudiraliyev Street between its intersections with Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Ajami Nakhchivani Street due to repair work.
In Narimanov district, part of the median at the intersection of Koroglu Rahimov and Tabriz streets will be removed to change the traffic pattern. Partial traffic restrictions will be introduced in the area in this regard.
“The restrictions will remain in force until the work is completed. Drivers are asked to consider using alternative routes in advance according to their direction of travel and to show understanding toward the ongoing work,” the statement said.
Road maintenance and traffic-management measures are periodically carried out in Baku to improve road infrastructure and organize traffic flow. Drivers are advised to follow temporary road signs and instructions from traffic officers in the affected areas.
