The number of lanes has been increased at the junction of Binagadi Highway and Zahid Gambarov Street to ease traffic congestion on routes toward Baku’s Bina settlement.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told the “Operative Information Center-OMM” about the change.
The agency said a new straight-ahead lane had been established through road marking work.
Previously, vehicles could proceed straight through the junction using only one lane. Under the new arrangement, they can continue in two lanes.
The project has increased the junction’s capacity and enabled vehicles to move more smoothly and without interruption. Road markings are commonly used to organize traffic flows and make better use of existing road space.
