Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting the daily commute for many residents.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.
As of the latest report, significant traffic density is observed in the following areas:
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- 1st Lake Side Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Binagadi Highway, towards the "Azadlig Prospekti" metro station;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, both the main and auxiliary roads, towards the city center;
- Baku-Sumgait Highway, towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center;
- Mikayil Mushfig Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards School-Lyceum No. 20;
- 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
- 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Airport Highway, towards the "Koroglu" metro station.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to optimize signal timings and manage congestion. These updates are part of ongoing efforts to improve urban mobility in the capital, as the city continues to experience increased vehicle volume during peak hours. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative roads where possible to avoid delays.
