Traffic restrictions have been reported on the capital’s main avenues and streets. Key congested locations and alternative routes for drivers have been identified.

Traffic congestion has been reported on a number of roads in Baku.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was released by the Intelligent Transport Management Center.

The current road situation is as follows:

1. Baku-Sumgait highway, toward the “20 January” metro station;

2. Ali Mustafayev Street, toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;

3. Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;

4. Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street toward the “20 January” metro station;

5. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, toward the city center;

6. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, toward the city center;

7. Rashid Behbudov Street, toward the Central Bank;

8. Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;

9. 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;

10. Yusif Safarov Street, toward the city center;

11. 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the city center;

12. Niyazi Street, toward the “Azneft” roundabout;

13. Tbilisi Avenue, from the “20 January” metro station toward the city center;

14. Koroglu Rahimov Street, from the intersection with Academician Hasan Aliyev Street toward Heydar Aliyev Avenue;

15. Binagadi highway, toward the “Azadlig Avenue” metro station;

16. First Lakeside Road, toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;

17. Airport highway, toward the “Koroglu” metro station.

Traffic congestion in Baku commonly affects major radial roads connecting residential districts with the city center, particularly during peak commuting hours. Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time and consider alternate routes where possible.
