Temperatures to reach 39°C in Azerbaijan amid heat warning

Weather conditions in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula are expected to remain dry on August 5, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the national weather authority.

Meteorologists noted that a north-easterly wind will shift to a moderate north-westerly wind in the evening. Air temperatures are forecast to range between 22-25°C at night and 31-36°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be 759 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels expected to be 70-75% at night and 40-50% during the day.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is also expected to be primarily dry. However, there is a possibility of short-term, light rain and lightning in some mountainous areas during the day. Fog is expected in certain mountainous regions during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate easterly wind.

Temperatures in the country's regions are forecast to reach 21-26°C at night and 34-39°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see temperatures of 15-20°C at night and 25-30°C during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors climatic changes in the region, providing essential data to the public to ensure safety during periods of extreme weather, which are becoming increasingly frequent due to global climate patterns.
