The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has announced an extension of the operating hours for Tehran's Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini international airports.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a spokesperson for the organization provided this information to local media. According to the official notification issued by the aviation authority, both airports will be operational from 04:30 to 21:30 on Tuesday.
The decision allows for the full execution of all domestic and international flights during the designated period. Officials stated that the measure was adopted to better regulate passenger flow and ensure the uninterrupted provision of flight services at the capital's main aviation gateways.
Imam Khomeini International Airport serves as the primary international hub for Iran, located approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Tehran, while Mehrabad Airport, situated within the city limits, primarily handles domestic traffic and regional cargo. These operational adjustments are frequently utilized by aviation authorities to optimize airport capacity and manage technical maintenance schedules during peak travel periods.
