Qəzənfər Abbasov: Müəllimlərin attestasiyası inkişaf üçün vacibdir

“The certification of art school teachers, implemented by the Ministry of Culture since last year, is essential for the progress of this field.”

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these views were expressed by Honored Teacher, renowned khananda, and educator Gazanfar Abbasov.

The khananda, who has been involved in art education for many years, highly valued the importance of measuring the knowledge and skills of teachers. According to him, the certification process has led to an increase in the sense of responsibility among teachers operating in this sector. Abbasov noted that he was closely involved in drafting the program for the khananda specialty, adding that programs for all specialties were provided to teachers months in advance. Furthermore, the Scientific-Methodical and Professional Development Center for Culture under the Ministry of Culture held numerous educational meetings and provided recommendations to both commission members and teachers to ensure optimal conditions for the assessment.

In Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture has been intensifying efforts to modernize the educational framework for arts and music schools. This certification process is part of a broader national strategy to enhance the quality of cultural education and ensure that teaching staff meet contemporary professional standards. By establishing a transparent evaluation system, the ministry aims to identify areas for further professional development and ensure that the next generation of Azerbaijani artists receives instruction from highly qualified experts.

The educator emphasized that the certification process, which covers the entire republic, will result in the real development of art education: “I believe that in all fields, including art education, we must entrust the work to professionals. This is necessary for the development of our culture,” Abbasov concluded.
