Russian forces carried out overnight group strikes on logistics hubs and transport and port infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using ground-launched precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the Russian Defense Ministry said in an official statement.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that foreign media outlets carried the information.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a locomotive depot in Kyiv was hit. The facility was allegedly used as a storage and logistics site for cruise missiles and their components, particularly Ukraine-produced FP-5 Flamingo missiles.
Other important facilities reportedly targeted included key internet traffic exchange centers and data centers in Kyiv:
Bimobayl data processing center: The Russian side said the center stored and transmitted intelligence information for the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Parkovy data processing center: Russia claimed that infrastructure used to process government, commercial and military-related data was hit.
It was also reported that the Belogorodka warehouse terminal in Kyiv region, which is involved in the production and storage of UAVs, and the Usatovo substation in Odesa region, which supplies electricity to port infrastructure, were put out of operation. A UAV production facility in the settlement of Velikodolinsk was also reportedly struck.
Russia said strikes in the southern direction disabled infrastructure facilities at the Izmail port used to unload military cargo, as well as a dry cargo vessel at Odesa port carrying property for Ukrainian military personnel.
The information is based solely on a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry. Ukraine has not yet issued an official position on the precise results of the strikes or the extent of the damage.
