Rashad Rasullu highlights investment in Azerbaijan’s sports infrastructure

Rashad Rasullu, executive vice president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF), addressed the draw ceremony for the World Judo Championships to be held in Baku.

He said it was a great honour for Azerbaijan to host the championships again and welcome the international judo community to the capital.

Rasullu highlighted the attention given to developing sport in Azerbaijan and the support provided to athletes. Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, significant work has been carried out to build modern sports infrastructure, support athletes and host prestigious international competitions in Azerbaijan, he said.

The World Judo Championships will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena from October 4 to 11.
