Short-term rain is expected in some suburban areas of Baku and the Absheron peninsula on the morning of April 25. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, while the weather will be mostly cloudy, it is expected to remain largely rainless throughout the day, with fog likely in certain areas during the night and morning hours.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that a moderate north-west wind is forecast to intensify by the evening. In Baku, temperatures are expected to range between 8-12°C at night and 15-18°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 758 mm to 768 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels reaching 65-75%.
Across Azerbaijan, particularly in mountainous and foothill regions, intermittent precipitation is anticipated. Forecasters warn of potential lightning, hail, and short-term intensive rainfall in specific areas, with snow expected in high-altitude zones. These weather patterns are typical for the spring season in the South Caucasus, where transitional atmospheric fronts often bring rapid changes in temperature and precipitation levels across Azerbaijan's diverse climatic zones.
