Rainy weather is expected across Azerbaijan on March 8, with snow forecast for mountainous regions, according to the latest official reports.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a statement regarding the changing weather conditions. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeable cloudy and occasionally gloomy. While the day will remain mostly dry, drizzle is expected in some areas during the morning, with rain likely towards the night. A north-east wind will prevail across the capital.

The temperature in the capital will range from 3-5°C at night to 6-9°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be above the norm at 770 mm Hg, with relative humidity reaching 70-80% at night and 60-65% during the day.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation is expected, with snow falling in mountainous areas. Forecasters warn that precipitation may be intense in specific locations. Fog is anticipated in some districts during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate west wind. Regional temperatures will fluctuate between 2-5°C at night and 6-9°C during the day. In the mountains, temperatures will drop to 5-10°C below zero at night, reaching 10-15°C below zero in high-altitude areas, while daytime temperatures will remain between 0-5°C below zero.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state authorities. Such fluctuations in early March are characteristic of the transition to the spring season in the South Caucasus, where maritime and continental air masses frequently interact, leading to sudden changes in pressure and precipitation levels.
