President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb in Davos on January 20.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, during the conversation, the previous meetings between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Finland were recalled with satisfaction. It was emphasized that productive discussions regarding the development of relations between the two countries had taken place during those previous encounters.
The meeting included an exchange of views on regional issues, touching upon the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the member states of the "Nordic-Baltic Eight" group. Furthermore, the parties highlighted the development prospects of Azerbaijan-European Union relations and discussed various areas of mutual interest.
The meeting took place within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The annual Davos gathering serves as a global platform where heads of state, business leaders, and international organizations convene to discuss pressing economic and geopolitical challenges. Azerbaijan has consistently utilized this forum to strengthen bilateral ties with European partners and to promote its strategic role in regional energy security and connectivity.
