Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that more than 14 million Iranians are prepared to sacrifice their lives to defend the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Pezeshkian shared these remarks on his Facebook page, emphasizing the nation's resolve during a period of heightened regional tension.
“More than 14 million proud Iranians have expressed their readiness to give their lives to defend Iran. I have also been, and will continue to be, ready to die for Iran,” the President noted in his statement.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning on the evening of April 7, stating that he would order large-scale attacks on Iran's civilian power plants and bridges if Tehran does not reach an agreement to end the ongoing conflict, which has lasted more than five weeks.
The exchange comes amid a period of significant geopolitical instability in the Middle East. Relations between Washington and Tehran have remained strained over various regional security issues and nuclear concerns. US President Donald Trump has consistently maintained a policy of maximum pressure, while the Iranian leadership continues to assert its right to self-defense and regional sovereignty. This latest escalation highlights the growing risk of direct military confrontation and the potential impact on critical infrastructure in the region.
