Armenia has said it is interested in expanding political, trade and economic ties with Turkmenistan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made the remarks during a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Armenian government’s press service, that the bilateral meeting took place in the city of Turkmenbashi.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov welcomed Pashinyan’s visit and stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The sides exchanged views on key issues on the current bilateral agenda.
Pashinyan arrived in Turkmenistan for a two-day working visit. He is due to attend the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will be held in Turkmenbashi.
