Paşinyan: Əsas hədəfimiz Aİ standartlarıdır

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has declared that aligning with European standards is a priority task for his country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that he made these remarks during a joint statement in Yerevan following the Armenia-EU summit, alongside President of the European Council Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

"Our goal is to ensure that Armenia complies with European Union standards as quickly as possible. I have said this before and I want to emphasize it again," Pashinyan stated, underlining that this remains a fundamental objective for Armenia. He further noted that even if Yerevan does not achieve full membership in the European Union immediately, the country would still benefit significantly by meeting European regulatory and institutional benchmarks.

The push for European integration comes as Armenia seeks to diversify its foreign policy and strengthen economic ties with Western partners. In recent years, the European Union has increased its support for democratic reforms and infrastructure projects in the region. This shift toward Brussels reflects a broader strategy by the Armenian leadership to modernize the country's legal and economic frameworks in accordance with international best practices.
