Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian Prime Minister's Office reported that President Macron congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his recent parliamentary election victory and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the discussion, the two leaders reviewed the current agenda of their strategic partnership, reaffirming their mutual commitment to the consistent development of bilateral relations and the expansion of cooperation. Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for France's ongoing support for democratic reforms in Armenia and emphasized the importance of expanding trade and economic ties, as well as increasing Armenia's export capabilities.
The conversation also covered the development of the Armenia-European Union partnership, alongside various regional and international agenda items. The leaders addressed the ongoing peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underscoring the critical importance of ensuring stable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
France has historically maintained a significant diplomatic presence in the South Caucasus, often acting as a mediator or key international partner in regional negotiations.
