France midfielder Michael Olise is closing in on Thierry Henry’s 21st-century record for goal involvements in a calendar year with the national team, statistics service Opta reported.
Olise scored twice and provided an assist in France’s 4-1 Nations League win over Belgium on October 5.
The performance took Olise’s total involvement in France goals in 2026 to 17: he has scored seven goals and supplied 10 assists.
Henry holds the record for the most goal involvements for France in a calendar year this century, with 19 in 2003. Olise needs two more goal involvements to equal that mark.
