Norway and Ukraine have officially signed a contract to initiate the production of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within Norway. According to reports from foreign media outlets cited by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the first deliveries of these drones are scheduled to reach the front lines as early as this summer.

The agreement establishes a framework for the joint manufacturing of drone technology, further strengthening the defense ties between the two nations. This new arrangement complements a joint declaration previously signed by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian manufacturer has informed the Norwegian Ministry of Defense that the production timeline is being expedited to ensure the first units are ready for deployment by the summer months.

Norway has remained a key partner in providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, and this move toward localized production in Northern Europe represents a strategic shift in defense cooperation. By leveraging Norwegian manufacturing capabilities, the partnership aims to create a more resilient supply chain for critical aerial technologies. This collaboration is expected to enhance Ukraine's tactical capabilities while fostering deeper integration between Ukrainian defense innovators and European industrial partners.
