New deputy imams have been appointed to the mosques in the cities of Shusha and Aghdam. According to the orders issued by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Nicat Khudiyev has been appointed as the deputy imam of the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque in Shusha. Additionally, Rovshan Mammadov was appointed as the deputy imam of the Juma Mosque in Aghdam, transitioning from his previous role at the Khindiristan village mosque.

The Operative Information Center-OMM received this information from the State Committee. It was emphasized that the restoration of religious life and the return of the call to prayer (Adhan) to the liberated territories are direct results of the historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Officials expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for the ongoing construction, major repairs, and restoration of religious sites across the Garabagh and East Zangilan regions.

The restoration of religious and cultural monuments in the liberated territories remains a key priority for the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following the 44-day Patriotic War, the state has initiated comprehensive reconstruction efforts to repair historical sites, including the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque and the Aghdam Juma Mosque, which are of immense cultural and spiritual importance to the Azerbaijani people. These efforts aim to preserve the national heritage and ensure that religious traditions are maintained as the population returns to these ancestral lands.
