Nakhchivan Assembly deputy Abdullayev loses mandate

The Central Election Commission of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held a meeting today chaired by Chingiz Hasanli.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that the commission first approved the minutes of its meeting held on Dec. 11, 2025.

The commission then reviewed an application seeking the removal of Gazanfar Ismayil oglu Abdullayev, a deputy of the seventh convocation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s Supreme Assembly, from his mandate.

The Central Election Commission examined Abdullayev’s application in accordance with the law and determined that legal grounds existed to terminate his mandate.

Taking Abdullayev’s application into account, the commission decided to revoke his mandate in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the law “On Elections to the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.”
