Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has signed an order to convene an extraordinary session of the legislative body, effective June 1.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Parliament's Press and Public Relations Department confirmed the development.
The extraordinary session is being convened in accordance with Part II of Article 88 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, following a formal request submitted by 82 deputies. Such sessions are typically called to address urgent legislative matters that cannot wait for the start of the regular autumn session, ensuring the continuous functionality of the legislative process in Azerbaijan.
