A solemn military oath ceremony was held for young cadets at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute, operating under the National Defense University (NDU).
According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense to Operative Information Center-OMM, the NDU and institute leadership, personnel, and faculty members attended the event, where the Battle Flag was brought to the front of the formation to the accompaniment of a military band.
The memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland was honored with a minute of silence. The national anthem was then performed.
Speakers congratulated the cadets on taking the Military Oath and wished them success in their future service. They urged them to become worthy sons and daughters of the Azerbaijani people and to remain loyal to Azerbaijan, its people and the Military Oath. They also emphasized the importance of observing strict discipline during their service.
Speaking on behalf of the cadets, representatives wished the newly admitted students success in their studies and expressed satisfaction with the conditions provided for them.
The cadets concluded the ceremony by solemnly pledging allegiance to the homeland.
The Heydar Aliyev Military Institute is part of Azerbaijan’s military education system and trains future officers for service in the country’s armed forces. Oath ceremonies traditionally mark the beginning of cadets’ formal military responsibilities and reinforce the principles of discipline, duty and loyalty.
