PSG goalkeeper Luka Chevalier plans to leave the club during the winter transfer window. According to L’Équipe, the 24-year-old wants to change teams to gain regular playing experience and revive his career.
A source close to the goalkeeper said Chevalier was being patient and continuing to work hard in training. The source said the situation had not changed, but the player was working to change his position. He is doing everything he can to achieve that in daily training.
Chevalier has played just 45 minutes this season. He came on as a substitute in a friendly against Mallorca. Russia international Matvey Safonov is PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Chevalier also aims to return to the France national team. Media reports say he currently ranks sixth or seventh in the national team’s goalkeeping pecking order. Increasing his playing time is therefore one of the main reasons behind his desire to change clubs.
