Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited the Juma Mosque during her trip to the city of Yevlakh.
According to "Operative Information Center-OMM", Leyla Aliyeva reviewed the conditions created for religious practices and worship at the mosque.
The Imam of the mosque stated that the Juma Mosque was commissioned in 1998 and can accommodate approximately 600 worshippers simultaneously. Highlighting the state's ongoing support for religious sites, the Imam expressed gratitude to the country's leadership, noting that the restoration and preservation of mosques—including those in the liberated territories of Garabagh—are of great significance to the religious community.
At the conclusion of the visit, a copy of the Holy Quran was presented to Leyla Aliyeva.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, plays a pivotal role in the restoration and preservation of Azerbaijan's cultural and religious heritage.
