Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp has explained why he used to support Barcelona in matches against Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. He spoke to DAZN about Sunday’s El Clasico at Camp Nou.
Klopp said he would watch the match: “Of course, I’ll watch El Clasico. I’ve watched it at every stage of my life.”
The German coach said he used to be more of a Barcelona fan. He said this was because he hated seeing Pepe and other defenders kick everything in their path: “That was the only reason I supported Barcelona more.”
Klopp said he now supports the team playing better. Based on the current situation, he said, that is probably Barcelona.
