Traffic movement on the Badamdar-20th Area highway in Baku has been suspended following increased landslide activity triggered by recent intensive rainfall, with relevant government agencies deployed to the site.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations that Minister Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov visited the affected area on the morning of April 5 to personally assess the situation. During the inspection, the Minister held discussions with officials and specialists from relevant bodies, reviewed technical proposals, and issued specific instructions to mitigate the risks and ensure public safety.

The Badamdar slope is known as one of the most active landslide zones in the capital, Azerbaijan. Geological experts frequently monitor the area due to its complex terrain and susceptibility to atmospheric precipitation. The suspension of traffic on this strategic route is a standard safety protocol implemented by the authorities to prevent potential accidents during periods of increased soil instability and to allow for comprehensive engineering assessments.
