The number of countries that Azerbaijani citizens can visit visa-free with ordinary passports has now exceeded 20.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Samad Seyidov, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, made the statement during today’s committee meeting, where lawmakers discussed a draft law approving the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the mutual exemption of ordinary passport holders from visa requirements.”

The committee chairman said Azerbaijani citizens would be able to stay in Jordan without a visa for up to 90 days.

Visa-exemption agreements simplify short-term travel and are intended to promote tourism, business contacts and people-to-people ties. The agreement will take effect in accordance with the procedures established by the two countries.
