The Israeli military has destroyed more than 50 buildings and structures in southern Lebanon, despite the current ceasefire agreement.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed the operations on the social media platform X. Adraee claimed that the targeted sites included buildings belonging to the Hezbollah group and noted that explosives, weapons, and ammunition were discovered in one of the raided facilities. The spokesperson emphasized that attacks would continue in accordance with instructions from Israel's political leadership.
The Israeli military has conducted intensive aerial and ground operations in Lebanon since March 2, establishing control over several areas in the south. The Lebanese government reports that the number of internally displaced persons has exceeded 1.162 million due to the conflict. US President Donald Trump recently announced a three-week extension of the 10-day temporary ceasefire that originally took effect on April 17. Despite these diplomatic efforts to halt hostilities, military operations in southern Lebanon persist.
