Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has commented on his team’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the sixth round of the English Premier League.

Iraola said the match was divided into two distinct periods. He said his team played better until the 60th minute, but Manchester City took control after Gravenberch was sent off.

The coach said he did not think Gravenberch deserved his first yellow card. In Iraola’s view, pressing Manchester City is difficult even with an equal number of players, and the task becomes more challenging when a team is reduced to 10 men. Liverpool conceded the opening goal shortly before making a substitution.

Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute. Erling Haaland scored in the 65th minute, Jeremy Doku in the 68th and Rayan Cherki in the 78th to secure a 3-0 win for Manchester City. BBC reported Iraola’s comments, citing Sky Sports.
