Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-0 in the sixth round of the English Premier League. The match was played at Anfield on October 11.
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute. Three minutes later, Erling Haaland opened the scoring. Jeremy Doku extended Manchester City’s lead in the 68th minute, and Rayan Cherki sealed the result in the 78th.
According to information released on September 25, a commission found Manchester City guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against the club. One possible sanction is expulsion from the Premier League. On September 29, an independent commission upheld the finding that the club was guilty.
After the win, Manchester City lead the standings with 18 points. Liverpool are ninth with nine points.
