Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has blamed the United States for the failure of peace negotiations held in Pakistan.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iranian state media, reports that the minister emphasized during a speech on Monday that excessive demands put forward by Washington led to the collapse of the process. Araghchi stated that the interference of external actors has hindered the path toward a diplomatic resolution and regional stability.

The peace talks in Pakistan are considered a significant element of regional diplomacy, aimed at stabilizing the security situation and enhancing cross-border cooperation between neighboring states. These discussions take place against a backdrop of shifting geopolitical alliances and heightened tensions in the region. Observers note that the stance of the administration under US President Donald Trump remains a critical factor in the success or failure of such international mediation efforts across South and West Asia.
