Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has addressed the circulating rumors regarding his alleged resignation.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iran's official news agency IRNA, the President issued a video statement to clarify his position.
In his address, Pezeshkian explicitly stated that reports suggesting he has resigned or is preparing to step down are entirely unfounded. "If I were to resign, I would announce it openly. I will not resign; I will continue my struggle," the Iranian President declared.
Furthermore, Pezeshkian refuted claims of internal discord between himself, the country's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and the Armed Forces. He emphasized that he operates in full coordination with the military, noting that in the event of any policy disagreement, it is well-established that the Armed Forces would align with the position of the Supreme Leader rather than his own.
Observers suggest that certain factions may be attempting to manufacture artificial tension within the government, with such misinformation campaigns aimed at confusing public opinion. Previously, various opposition media outlets had alleged that Pezeshkian had submitted resignation letters to Khamenei on several occasions.
