İran XİN: Hər hansı bir hücuma cavab veriləcək

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has issued a sharp response to allegations regarding potential military attack preparations by the United States against Iran.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official stated Tehran would take even more decisive steps against any form of aggression.

"Iran relies on both its current potential and its past military experiences. Currently, the country's defense capability is stronger compared to previous periods. Sending military forces and warships to the region is a clear violation of international law. Such steps cannot undermine Iran's determination to protect its sovereignty. Regional countries understand that any security problem that may arise does not only target Iran. This is a matter of common concern for the entire region. Iran is currently facing hybrid warfare and various threats managed by both the US and the 'Zionist regime'."

Furthermore, Esmaeil Baghaei categorically denied reports regarding an exchange of messages between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump's special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

The statements come amid heightened regional tensions and a shifting diplomatic landscape following the inauguration of US President Donald Trump in January 2025. Iran has consistently maintained that its military program is defensive in nature, while Western powers and regional rivals have frequently expressed concerns over Tehran's ballistic missile development and influence across the Middle East. This latest exchange highlights the ongoing friction between Washington and Tehran regarding maritime security and regional stability.
