Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi commented on ongoing indirect diplomatic contacts between Iran and the United States at a news briefing in Tehran, Iranian state television reported.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Araghchi said talks with Washington were continuing through the exchange of messages via intermediaries.
The head of Iranian diplomacy said Tehran had submitted a package of proposals called the “Seven-Day Plan” to the other side and had reviewed the US position.
Araghchi stressed that Tehran was conducting a comprehensive analysis of the counterproposals submitted by the United States. He added that Iran’s official response would be conveyed to the US side through intermediaries in the coming days.
Indirect negotiations use third parties to relay messages between governments rather than direct talks. Such channels are commonly used when formal diplomatic engagement is limited, allowing each side to communicate proposals and positions through intermediaries.
