İran: "ABŞ ilə dialoq deyil, müharibəyə hazırlıq əsas prioritetdir"

The Islamic Republic of Iran is prioritizing military readiness and defense capabilities over establishing a dialogue with the United States. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this statement was made by Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for International Affairs.

According to the diplomat, the negotiating table is currently not a priority for Tehran.

"Negotiations with the US are not on our agenda. Our main goal is to be 200 percent ready for the defense of the state," he stated.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following statements by US President Donald Trump, who recently announced that a second naval "armada" was moving toward Iran. While US President Donald Trump expressed hope that Tehran would agree to a new deal, specific details regarding the terms of such an agreement have not been disclosed.

Furthermore, reports from The Economist suggest that the possibility of US President Donald Trump authorizing a significant strike against Iran and its political leadership is being discussed. However, the publication noted that no final decision has been reached on the matter. Relations between Washington and Tehran have remained strained since the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2018, leading to a series of escalations in the Persian Gulf and broader Middle East region.
