Iran is currently finalizing preparations for mass funeral ceremonies ahead of what officials are describing as a "historic farewell" for the late Supreme Leader.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has called on citizens to actively participate in the upcoming funeral processions scheduled to take place in Tehran and other major cities across the country.
Ghalibaf stated that Iran is "preparing to experience one of its most historic days," characterizing the late leader as a significant figure who dedicated his life to the defense of Islam, Iran's independence, and revolutionary ideals. According to the Parliament Speaker, these ceremonies serve not only as a farewell but also as a reaffirmation of the nation's commitment to the "path of the martyrs" and the values of the Islamic Revolution. He noted that the participation of millions is anticipated, which he described as a demonstration of national unity.
Furthermore, Ghalibaf urged youth, families of martyrs, and all citizens to attend, emphasizing that Iran will continue its resistance against external pressures. Reports indicate that high-level delegations from approximately 40 countries are expected to attend the farewell ceremony scheduled for July 4.
