Iran ensures the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz within the framework of established legal regulations, according to official statements.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Russian newspaper "Vedomosti," citing Iran's Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, highlighted the Islamic Republic's commitment to maintaining security in the strategic waterway. The Ambassador emphasized that under current security protocols and the legal regime governing the Strait of Hormuz, international shipping can proceed without hindrance.

"Iran ensures the security of the passage. Based on security measures and the legal regime of the Strait of Hormuz, ships can pass through here freely," Ambassador Jalali stated. He further commented on geopolitical tensions, asserting that efforts by the United States and Israel aimed at regional destabilization have failed to achieve their objectives. According to the diplomat, the Islamic Republic has emerged more unified following recent external pressures and challenges.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most vital maritime chokepoints, situated between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. It serves as the primary transit route for approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption. Given its strategic importance, the security of the strait is a matter of global economic concern, frequently involving international discussions regarding maritime law and regional stability. US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized the need for securing international trade routes in the region to ensure global energy market stability.
