Yashar Allahgulu oglu Amashov has been appointed as the first deputy head of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree regarding the appointment. Under a separate presidential decree, Yashar Amashov was also conferred the high military rank of major general.
The State Service for Special Communication and Information Security is a central executive body responsible for ensuring the security of special-purpose telecommunications systems and the protection of state secrets within Azerbaijan's digital infrastructure. The service plays a critical role in the nation's cybersecurity framework, overseeing the secure transmission of information among government entities and protecting the country's information networks from external threats and cyber-attacks.
