İlham Əliyev: Türk dövlətləri ilə rəqəmsal əməkdaşlıq uğurludur

President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the success of digital cooperation among Turkic states, noting that the world is entering a new era of development driven by digital advancements and artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking at the informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, the head of state stressed that Turkic nations must remain at the forefront of these global technological processes.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev identified the strengthening of Azerbaijan's digital sovereignty and the acceleration of the transition to an innovation-based economic model as primary objectives. "To this end, the Digital Development Council, the National Artificial Intelligence Center, and the AI Academy have been established. Last year, our country adopted the National AI Strategy, which focuses on developing the AI industry, training specialized personnel, and implementing AI in public administration," the President stated. He further noted that broadband internet coverage in Azerbaijan has reached 100 percent, with ongoing efforts to integrate all public services into a unified digital platform.

The Organization of Turkic States, which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, has increasingly focused on economic and technological integration in recent years. Azerbaijan's push for digital transformation aligns with its broader strategy to diversify the economy away from oil and gas. By spearheading initiatives like the "Digital Azerbaijan" program and investing in regional connectivity, Baku aims to position itself as a central hub for innovation within the Caspian region and the wider Turkic world.
