The joint visit of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to the city of Shusha serves as a clear demonstration of the enduring bonds of friendship between the two nations.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, shared this assessment on his official X account.
"The joint walk of the Presidents of the two brotherly countries—Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan—in the historic city of Shusha is not only a clear expression of the strong ties of friendship, shared cultural heritage, and mutual trust existing between our peoples but also reflects our joint will aimed at further strengthening our strategic partnership," Hajiyev noted.
Shusha, often referred to as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, holds immense historical and symbolic significance. Following its liberation in 2020, the city has become a focal point for international diplomacy and cultural events, hosting numerous high-level delegations. This visit underscores the growing importance of Shusha as a venue for fostering regional cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations within the Turkic world.
