Marek Estok, State Secretary for European Union Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, is currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the State Secretary announced the details of his visit via his official account on the X social media platform.
During his stay in Baku, Marek Estok held a meeting with Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
Following the discussions, Estok noted that he held productive and open talks with Hikmat Hajiyev regarding the deepening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, as well as the implementation of new joint projects. The meeting underscored the growing interest in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
Slovakia and Azerbaijan have been actively working to expand their bilateral relations, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Such high-level visits serve as a critical mechanism for aligning foreign policy priorities and exploring investment opportunities that contribute to the strategic partnership between Baku and Bratislava.
