Intermittent heavy showers are forecast in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on October 3.
The “Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the National Hydrometeorology Service issued the forecast.
Thunderstorms are possible in some areas, with heavy rain likely overnight from October 2 to 3 and in the morning. Strong northwesterly winds are expected.
Temperatures will be 13-15°C overnight and 15-17°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 764 to 768 millimeters of mercury. Relative humidity will be 80-90%.
Intermittent showers are also expected in some parts of Azerbaijan. Rain may be heavy and intense in isolated areas, with thunderstorms and hail possible. Snow is possible in mountainous areas. Fog is forecast in some places overnight and in the morning. Moderate westerly winds will occasionally strengthen in some areas.
Temperatures will be 12-16°C overnight and 16-20°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will be 2-5°C overnight and 5-8°C during the day.
Heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms can reduce visibility and create hazardous conditions, particularly in mountainous areas and locations prone to flooding. The forecast covers Baku, the Absheron Peninsula and regions across Azerbaijan.
