Intermittent rain is expected in some mountainous and foothill regions of Azerbaijan on Sept. 19-20.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service issued the warning.
The service said the rain could be brief but intense in some areas, with thunderstorms and possible hail.
Due to the expected rainy weather, water levels in rivers are likely to rise. Short-term flooding and mudflows are possible on some rivers in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.
Such weather conditions may affect travel and outdoor activities in mountainous areas, while residents near riverbeds are advised to exercise caution.
