The heads of state agencies responsible for religious affairs from member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have visited the Alley of Honor in Baku.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the delegations paid tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, by visiting his grave.
The guests honored the memory of the National Leader with deep respect and laid a wreath at his monument. Following this, the delegation commemorated the renowned ophthalmologist and academician, Zarifa Aliyeva, placing flowers at her grave.
It should be noted that the first meeting of the heads of state agencies responsible for religious affairs from OTS member states is scheduled to take place tomorrow in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, Shusha. The event is expected to be attended by the Secretary General of the OTS, as well as the heads of religious authorities from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
This inaugural meeting in Shusha marks a significant step in strengthening cooperation among Turkic nations in the religious sphere, fostering dialogue, and exchanging experiences on state-religion relations within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
