An investigation at Baku kindergarten No. 98 found shortcomings in the organization of teaching and care, management, and ensuring a safe environment for children. The employment contract of the kindergarten’s head has been terminated.
The Baku City Education Department told the “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
The department said that any negative incidents at educational institutions are unacceptable. It said improving the effectiveness of preschool operations and ensuring a healthy working environment are among its main priorities. Measures to address shortcomings in line with legal requirements remain under constant review.
Earlier, allegations circulated that a psychotropic substance had been detected in the blood of a young child at the kindergarten. Psychotropic substances affect brain function and may be subject to strict controls under national law.
