Bayern forward Harry Kane scored twice against Viking in the second round of the UEFA Champions League league phase. The England international took his tournament tally from 56 to 57 goals, moving up to eighth on the all-time top scorers list.
The match was played in Stavanger, Norway, and ended 2-2. Stensnes scored for Viking in the second minute, followed by Kristiansen in the 38th. Kane levelled the score with goals in the 54th and 60th minutes.
Kane moved ahead of Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored 56 goals, and drew level with former Bayern player Thomas Müller, who also scored 57 Champions League goals. Müller reached that total in 163 appearances, while Kane has scored 57 times in 73 matches.
The England forward has played for Bayern since 2023. Before joining the German club, he represented Tottenham. Bayern won 5-0 against another Norwegian side, Bodø/Glimt, in the tournament’s opening round.
